There was a whole spate of these androgenous boys hauling wood on 50’s T.V. Who can forget the wirey and spirited Jeff (with Mom and Gramps) replaced by the girley cry baby Timmy (with Mom and Dad, no gramps) on Lassie. Sorry Opie.
It’s awesome that that magazine was made in a time where all the editors in the world wouldn’t object to that cover.
