(Not) everyone is an artist

‘Everyone is an artist.’ — Joseph Beuys (Actually, Novalis, not Beuys, was the first to say that ‘everyone is an artist.’)

Both were wrong.

Not even every artist is an artist.

Actually, not everyone is the same.

“Not everyone is the same, and not everyone needs the same type of routine oral care.” { Dr. Scott R. Landrey, Dentist }

“Not everyone is the same in NO way.” { Voices of Youth | Unicef }

“Not everyone is the same but every parent and school complains to teenagers about being irresponsibe.” { Answers.Yahoo }

“Students should recognize that not everyone is the same height and not everyone has the same hair color.” { National Institute of Health }

“Of course not everyone is the same.” { Mental Biofeedback & Body Scanning }

Volkswagen Station Wagon ad | caption: If the world looked like this, and you wanted to buy a car that sticks out a little, you probably wouldn’t buy a Volkswagen Station Wagon. But in case you haven’t noticed, the world doesn’t look like this. So if you wanted to buy a car that sticks out a little, you know just what to do. VW.

And sometimes, oneself is not even oneself: “I read something recently that said that it is healthy to have changing values. It quoted a mathematician’s cat that preferred fish to chicken, chicken to beef, and beef to fish. Tomorrow I might believe something else.” { What is the real meaning of life, edited by David Seaman }

“Deconstructing oneself is not the best thing to do.” { Tseringatisang }
